Welcome!

It is a pleasure to serve within the Chandler Unified School District as the Chandler Early College Administrator. I am a product of Washington State, being born and raised in Spokane. Relocating to the East Valley in 2007, I worked the next 6 years as a teacher, curriculum specialist and in support positions before coming to CUSD in 2013. Since joining CUSD, I have worked to support staff and students at an Administrative level to achieve our respective site goals.

My Education and Professional Background

I am a product of Washington State, being born and raised in Spokane. Receiving a Bachelors of Arts in Social Studies and a Teaching Certificate from Washington State University, I spent 11 years working in a High School and Community College setting. I have had the opportunity of working for various levels of education in an academic and co-curricular capacity and have learned from wonderful people along the way. Once receiving my Masters in Educational Leadership at Gonzaga University, I served two years as an Administrator before deciding to relocate to the valley of the sun for a change of pace.

My Educational Philosophy

I am excited to work with the students and staff here at Chandler Early College, and look forward to being a part of the continued success of teaching and learning, as well as, experiencing our students' individual successes.

My Educational Philosophy

Each student is unique and learns differently. As a teacher I believe that it is important to teach in a way that employs a variety of teaching strategies. Students should learn from each other and learn to work together through cooperative learning. The students need be active learners exploring concepts through hands on learning and communication. As a teacher I need to apply concepts at a high-order thinking level to help them understand and use the information throughout their life.
