|""The essence of our effort to see that every child has a chance must be to assure each an equal opportunity, not to become equal, but to become different - to realize whatever unique potential of body, mind and spirit he or she possesses.""|

My Education and Professional Background
I am a native New Yorker and have my Bachelor's in Music Education from the Crane School of Music in Potsdam, NY and my Master's in Music Education from Long Island University. I began teaching in 1994 in New York and moved to Arizona in 2001. I have also been a clinician for both Arizona Music Educator's Association as well New York State School Music Association. I have also worked as an arts grant writer for various performing art groups and am the former Executive Director for both the Sonoran Desert Chorale and the Chaparral MusicFest.
My Educational Philosophy
I believe that music is one way for us to unleash our creativity and promotes lifelong skills in teamwork and collaboration. I strive to make a comfortable environment where students enjoy creating music at any level of ability. As a parent and a teacher of children with special needs, I am compassionate and understanding of the challenges and unique successes each child brings.
