Garrison...
My name is Mrs. Garrison, and I am looking forward to sharing this school year with both my students and parents. I am excited about the many wonderful days of learning that we have ahead of us in our first grade classroom! I am anxious to get to know you, and you are probably just as anxious to get to know me. I love to read, cook, and travel with my family. My husband and I have an amazing son named Max and two cute dogs named Frank and Beans.
My Education and Professional Background
I am a graduate of the College of Education at Arizona State University, and I received my Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Northern Arizona University. I have endorsements in both reading and English Language Instruction. I have been teaching first grade since 1999. Spalding is very near and dear to my heart, so I chose to become a Spalding Certified Teacher.
My Educational Philosophy
The reason I chose to become a teacher is because education has always been an important part of my life. I come from a family of educators and have grown up watching my family members, especially my mother, positively influence the lives of hundreds of children. I knew from the moment I set foot into my mother's classroom that I would devote my life to children. My goal is to create a community of lifelong learners who will always value the importance of education.

Ireland...
Welcome to Elementary Connect where best teaching practices and technology are integrated daily to create educational experiences for students that are challenging, enriching and extend their academic abilities.
My Education and Professional Background
I have been a CUSD teacher for twenty six years with twenty five of them at Jacobson Elementary School. My five years in second, seventeen in fourth have definitely prepared me for making the jump to sixth grade these last four years. I am so excited to be remain a part of this newest CUSD adventure and remain online teaching 6th graders with a fabulous staff and team. My Bachelors Degree is from the University of Toledo in Ohio and my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction is from NAU.
My Educational Philosophy
Students grow to understand what it means to take care of their education, through the daily practice of being attentive to their learning. This requires taking risks, communicating well to others and learning from their mistakes to build self esteem and confidence in their new acquired skills and abilities over a course of time. It is not about what they do not know, but what they do not know "yet" and know success will come as they cope with their mistakes, try again, and sometimes fail. As a teacher I show and guide students through these challenges so that they want to continue to try as they put forth the effort, progress and attitude while working toward their goals. In doing this students succeed by their own pride and purpose because it matters to them. This is the attitude I want student to move forward with after spending their 6th grade year with me.

Palomarez...
Welcome to 3rd Grade at Chandler Online Academy's Elementary Connect! My name is Stephanie Palomarez and I am so excited to get to know you and your family throughout our time together.
My Education and Professional Background
I attended Arizona State University where I received my bachelors in Elementary Education with an emphasis on Early Childhood Education. I am currently obtaining my Masters in Educational Leadership through NAU.
My Educational Philosophy
I believe that each child is a unique individual who needs a secure, caring, and stimulating atmosphere in which to grow in all facets of their lives. Helping students to develop a deep love and respect for themselves, others, and their environment is an ongoing process. In setting fair and consistent rules initially and stating the importance of every activity, students are shown respect for their presence and time. When the voice of each student is heard, an environment evolves where students feel free to express themselves.

Come one, come all and welcome to my Hornet webpage!! I am thrilled to be starting another year teaching 6th grade at Elementary Connect. We have an amazing group of educators at our school and look forward to making this year the BEST one yet!
My Education and Professional Background
I completed my student teaching in Vicenza, Italy, which was an amazing and enriching experience both professionally and personally. I graduated from Northern Arizona University with my B.A in elementary education and special education. In 2008, I obtained my Masters in curriculum and instruction. I began my career teaching 6th grade for this first 11 years. Then in 2016, I had the incredible opportunity to develop the Elementary STEM program at Conley Elementary, where I implemented and taught the STEM program to all K-6th students for 4 years. Last year, I joined the Elementary Connect team at COA and am thrilled to be back again this year teaching 6th grade with an outstanding team!
My Educational Philosophy
I believe that all children can learn, grow and achieve in the proper learning environment. I love being that safe place for children to take risks and know that the sky is never the limit. I strive to build relationships and make connection to ensure I am allowing children to explore their passions and find their voice. Our family stretches between IL and Arizona. I was born and raised by my loving parents in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois and absolutely love the Bears, Cubbies and Blackhawks sports team! I met Terry, my husband, while student teaching in Italy, and have been in Arizona ever since. We have two incredible dogs, Winslow and Louie, and spend most of our time in the outdoors camping, hiking or kayaking. Be the change you wish to see in the world -- Gandhi

My Educational Philosophy
Mrs. Judy Marcus changed my life. She introduced me to a passion I didn't even know I had. I had only one class with her, AP Art History, my Senior year of high school, but she changed the course of my life. What made Mrs. Marcus different from all the rest of my teachers? The answer is simple.....she INSPIRED me! Inspiration, motivation, and meaningful learning. If I can focus on and achieve these three goals as I teach each year, I will e successful.

Hello Hornets and welcome to our PE website. I am super excited to be teaching PE to all of you this school year. Look forward to working with and getting to know each and every one of you! Let's make it an AMAZING year!!
My Education and Professional Background
Bachelors in Physical Education from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville Masters in Adapted Physical Education from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville
My Educational Philosophy
I believe that all children, no matter their ability, should be made to feel they are important and they matter. I have true compassion for my students and I strive to provide a safe space for all to learn and grow -- a space that allows them to be comfortable in trying new things and letting them know it's okay to make mistakes. My students are encouraged to work hard, and are challenged daily to be the best they can be. I am very passionate about my profession and am always looking to grow in my teaching. My students inspire me daily to want to be the best teacher and person I can be for them. I am hopeful that through the lessons I teach, my students will become active individuals and lifelong lovers of exercise. But most importantly, I hope that through my teaching, my students will learn what it means to be a person of character, that making mistakes is part of the learning process, and persevering through all challenges will only help them to become stronger individuals.
