About
Schaffer...
Kindergarten is such a fun and exciting year. I am so happy to be able to work with you and your child and look forward to all the fun and exciting experiences that we will share this school year. A little bit about me: my husband and I have 3 wonderful little boys - Danny, Jacob, & Michael. When I’m not at school I love to play with my boys, spend time with my family, and go to the movies and travel.
My Education and Professional Background
I graduated from Arizona State University with a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education in 2004. In 2008, I received my master’s degree from ASU in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education. I taught kindergarten and first grade in the Tempe Elementary School district for three years and then began teaching kindergarten at Navarrete in 2007 where I have been ever since.
My Educational Philosophy
I believe that all children deserve the opportunity to learn and grow. My job as a teacher is to create a safe environment in which my students develop a love of learning and can reach their full potential.
