Welcome to Third Grade! My name is Aimee Franzen and I could not be more delighted to be your child's teacher this year. I am originally from Indiana and moved to Arizona in 2012. My husband and I, and our four boys love to camp and do anything outdoors! I am also a HUGE Harry Potter fan! I just know that we are going to have a fantastic year getting to know each other and growing together. Let the magic begin!

My Education and Professional Background

As long as I can remember, I always wanted to be a teacher. The teachers and experiences that I had in elementary school paved my way towards education. In 2005, I received my Bachelors in Elementary Education from Indiana University. Then, I was fortunate enough to be able to stay home and raise my four boys. After moving from Indiana to Arizona in 2012, I decided to get back into my profession as a teacher.

My Educational Philosophy

My goal is to instill a lifelong passion for learning by creating a safe, caring, and challenging environment for your child. I believe that the key to academic and social success starts by building a relationship with your student and their families. My Education and Professional Background

I have been teaching since 2001 and many of those years have been in 5th grade. I have my Bachelors in Elementary Education, a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction, and a reading endorsement. Teaching and laughing with students are a couple of highlights in my school day. I enjoy working with students and having a positive impact on their learning and lives. I truly love my job!

My Educational Philosophy

I am given one year to impact a child's future by kindling their inner fire. I believe that all children will rise to high expectations given encouragement and support. I believe that I must be an actresses on stage to mandate a child's attention. With a child's full attention I can motivate, encourage, cultivate and teach them to grab on to their dreams. It is from this point I can rest assure that my students will be able to continue their educational journeys without me.

Hello and welcome to 6th Grade! I am married (we just passed our 12th anniversary!) and we have a beautiful and hilarious daughter who is going into fifth grade. We also have an adorable and slightly crazy Siberian husky named Diesel who keeps us all entertained. In my free time I love to spend time with my family, read (mostly fiction!), and craft!

My Education and Professional Background

I have my Bachelors Degree in Music and Masters in Elementary Education from Rutgers University in New Jersey. This will be my 18th year teaching! I seriously can’t believe that it has been that long. I absolutely love being a teacher. I have been teaching at Carlson Elementary for 8 years and this will be my second year teaching sixth grade after moving up from fifth last year.

My Educational Philosophy

Science and STEM Education have been my passions for quite a few years now, so I love that I get to spend so much of my time focusing on the integration of these areas with the ancient world history that sixth grade covers. My philosophy of teaching science is to use hands on activities as much as possible! Learning through doing science will help us understand and remember what we learn. I also love to help students discover what is meaningful about learning history in social science. We are definitely going to have some fun in here this year and learn a whole lot, too!

Welcome to 2nd Grade at Carlson Elementary! I love coming to work each day and making a difference in the lives of children. I am a mother of three wonderful children, Parker, Ryker, and Bexley. I am looking forward to an amazing year! Thank you for sharing your second grader with me.

My Education and Professional Background

I earned my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Arizona State University (Go Sun Devils) in 2004. In 2014 I received an endorsement in Early Childhood Education. I previously taught in the Gilbert School District for eleven years before moving to Chandler. I began teaching in 2005

My Educational Philosophy

My goal is to inspire a life-long love of learning. I believe that each and every child has the ability to learn and it's my job as the teacher to help each child reach their full potential. I set high expectations for all my students and work with them to set personal goals where we work together to reach them. I look forward to partnering with your family to provide your Carlson second grade student with the best experience possible!

My Education and Professional Background

I have been fortunate to be a teacher in this district since 2006. Singing has been a passion of mine since I was very young. My performing has afforded me many fun experiences including musical theater, recitals, performing abroad, singing with orchestras, and recording. I even got to perform in an Opera in Rome! I graduated from Arizona State University in May of 2003 with Bachelor of Music degree in vocal performance. Because I greatly enjoyed teaching private music lessons, I decided a year later to go back to ASU to pursue music education. In 2006 I received my music education certification. Becoming a music teacher is one of the best decisions I have ever made. This is the perfect job for me!

My Educational Philosophy

In order to enjoy life to the fullest, we must experience new things and learn. In order to learn, education must be enjoyable.
