About
Kaemmerer...
Hello! My name is Rachel Kaemmerer. This will be my second year teaching music in the public schools. I was born and raised in Arizona. I was a student at Hull Elementary, so I am very excited to be teaching here. When I'm not teaching or practicing piano, I'm spending time with my husband, two children, and three puppies..
My Education and Professional Background
I graduated from ASU with a B.M. in Music Education/Piano in 2018. This is my second year teaching general music and my first year in CUSD. I have studied Orff and Kodaly and use a balance of these two methods in my classroom. I’m apart of AZ Orff chapter, Music Teachers National Association, and National Association for Music Education.
My Educational Philosophy
As a music teacher, I encourage students to be flexible and creative. I provide constant opportunities for self-expression through compositional exercises and other musical activities. My goal is not to raise professional musicians, but to teach students the importance of collaboration.
