    Welcome to 2nd grade at San Marcos!

    My Education and Professional Background

    I am originally from Southern California where I graduated from California State University, San Bernardino with a Liberal Studies degree in Education. I taught second grade for ten years before moving to Arizona. My husband, two daughters and I have been in Arizona for 15 years, where I have taught  kindergarten through 4th grade. Most days you can find me on the sidelines of the soccer field cheering on my daughters as they play club soccer.

    My Educational Philosophy

    Having respectful and caring relationships, along with open communication with students and their families are an important foundation for a wonderful classroom experience. My goal in teaching is for my students to grow academically, socially, and to have a love of learning! Our classroom environment will have students who feel safe and can take risks in their learning.
