    Welcome!

    Hello! My name is Jill Henderson and I am thrilled to be a part of the Rice Elementary community! I teach resource as part of the special education team.

    My Education and Professional Background

    I received my undergraduate degrees in Elementary Education and Special Education from Northern Arizona University. I have been fortunate to teach in both California and Arizona. I absolutely love teaching and have spent my career working with elementary students with exceptional needs and with English Language Learners.

    My Educational Philosophy

    As part of the resource program, your child will receive specialized instruction to meet his/her Individualized Education Plan (IEP) goals. We will use multi-sensory and hands-on activities to preview, reteach and reinforce skills and concepts in the general education classroom. Collaboration and communication is a key element to help our students be successful. I am excited to work with you and the classroom teachers this year to make this one an amazing experience filled with student growth.
