My Education and Professional Background
I earned a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education in 1986 at the University of West Florida, in Pensacola, Florida. I received my ESL Endorsement from Rio Salado College in 2010. I began teaching at Galveston in 2010. I have 16 years of teaching experience
My Educational Philosophy
I believe that students learn best when they have a positive learning environment where everyone feels safe to share their thinking and ideas. I understand that all students can learn and succeed, but not always in the same way. I differentiate my instruction to fit all learning styles through whole group or small group instruction, one-on-one learning and engaging activities. My hope is that each child is excited to come to school each day and do their personal best.
