    Welcome!

    Hi! My name is Julie Swanson and I love teaching 4th grade! This is my 16th year at Humphrey as a parent, and 6th year as a teacher. I am a Native Arizonan who loves the outdoors. When I'm not teaching, you can find me running all over the east valley and participating in many half marathons and marathons;. My husband, Scott and I have six children. Our oldest is 21 and our youngest is 11 and a 6th grader here at Humphrey. I also love to read, bake and play the piano.

    My Education and Professional Background

    I attended and graduated from Arizona Christian University in 1997 with a Bachelor's in Education. I have taught Kindergarten, 6th grade and now 4th grade.

    My Educational Philosophy

    At CTA-Humphrey, we are preparing all students with the academic and social skills necessary to pursue any dream. I believe that all students can succeed, and my goal is to inspire life long learners and encourage a love for reading.
