    I was born and raised in Tempe, Arizona.  I went to Arizona State University--GO SUN DEVILS!--and received my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education with an Endorsement in English as a Second Language.  
    I began teaching in Chandler here at Humphrey right out of college, in 1998.  I taught English as a Second Language K-6 for two years.  I taught First grade for 4 1/2 years.  I took 3 1/2 years off to have twins and stay home with them.  I returned to Humphrey in 2008 part-time to teach 1st-2nd grade English Language.  In the fall of 2010, I moved to 2nd grade and I LOVE it!
    My twins, Owen and Ruthie, just graduated from Hamilton High. Owen will be going to ASU and Ruthie will be attending UofA this fall.
