Hello! My name is Karen Strong and I am the media specialist at CTA-Humphrey.
My Education and Professional Background
I grew up in the Washington D.C. area with my parents, one sister and three brothers. Later, I moved out west and attended ASU. I earned my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with an ESL endorsement in 1998. In 2002 I earned my Masters Degree in Educational Technology from ASU. I spent the first ten years of my career teaching fourth grade. Since 2008, I have been the media specialist here at CTA-Humphrey, teaching in the computer lab and library. I also sponsor two clubs for fifth and sixth graders, News Club and Battle of the Books.
My Educational Philosophy
At CTA-Humphrey we are preparing all students with the academic and social skills necessary to pursue any dream.
