    Welcome!

    Welcome to first grade! My name is Catherine Nichols and I am excited to be part of the CTA Goodman first-grade team. It is my privilege to be your child’s teacher. I look forward to a great year of learning.

    My Education and Professional Background

    I graduated from ASU with a BS in Business Management. I worked in retail management for seven years and then stayed at home to raise my children. I returned to school and completed my post baccalaureate certification in elementary education in 2013. I have taught kindergarten, first, and second grade.

    My Educational Philosophy

    I believe that a classroom should be a safe and caring community where children are encouraged to grow and learn. All children are unique and have something special that they can bring to our classroom to support their learning. I will provide a safe environment where students can express themselves while embracing the differences of others.
