About Mrs. Sarah Elliott...
My name is Sarah Elliott and I am the very proud Dean of Students here at CTA Goodman. I am honored to be part of the Gator family as I build relationships with all students, staff, parents and community members. I was born and raised in Scotland but I love the sun and outdoors! In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, traveling and trying out new restaurants around the valley. My husband and I live in Chandler with our two daughters, Maddy and Alex along with our doodles.
My Education and Professional Background
I received my Bachelor's Degree from ASU in Early Childhood Education along with my Reading Endorsement. I also hold a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from NAU. I began my teaching career back in 2005, in the valley and have held many different roles within the school setting. I have taught 1st grade, 3rd grade, 5th grade, and an ELA Coach. During my time as a coach, I worked with teachers to develop a deeper understanding of the ELA curriculum and best practices. Through my experiences, I have learned hard work, positivity and strong relationships have the most impact in creating a positive learning environment for all students to thrive in.I became a teacher because I have a passion for learning and empowering all children in reaching their full potential. As a classroom teacher, it was my goal to encourage and support my students in achieving social, emotional and academic growth. As Dean, I am excited to get to know all the Goodman families.
My Educational Philosophy
I have a very strong commitment to helping students become successful learners in all content areas. I love watching each student grow academically and socially throughout the course of the year. I believe that each child is unique and it is my job to foster their love of learning while pulling from their strengths. This year students will be synergizing to make our school a place where all students succeed, reach their goals and feel loved. It is my pleasure to serve our Goodman community. I look forward to an eventful year filled with joy, laughter and lots of learning.
