    I would like to welcome both parents and students to the beginning of a fun and knowledgeable year in Room 42! I am excited about embarking on this school year with your child and look forward to getting to know all of you.

    My Education and Professional Background

    I graduated from ASU with a Bachelor of Arts in Education. I have made it a point to continue my education after college, receiving a master's degree in the area of Curriculum and Instruction as well as earning a reading endorsement through my course of study

    My Educational Philosophy

    I chose a career in teaching due to my strong desire to be of importance in the lives of many children. I felt that the teaching profession would fulfill my need to help children, as well as create a path of skillful knowledge for all the students in my class. In our classroom students are guaranteed to be greeted each day, know that they were missed if they happen to be absent, and will leave each day knowing that they are not only important in our classroom, but as a unique individual.
