Welcome!

My name is Danica Schroeder and I am thrilled to be teaching 4th grade this year at Santan Elementary. I began teaching in July of 2016 and I am beyond ecstatic to continue my teaching career in 4th grade! I grew up attending Chandler Schools and I am very passionate about teaching all subjects, though science is my absolute favorite. I am looking forward to having a fantastic school year!

My Education and Professional Background

I graduated from Northern Arizona University in 2016 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, and an English as a Second Language Endorsement. I completed many internships in a variety of grade levels, as well as completed my student teaching in the spring of 2016 here at Santan. As the years progress, I would love to continue my education through professional growth classes and eventually get a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education and in Counseling.

My Educational Philosophy

I believe every child in my class is unique, talented, and has the ability to be successful. As a teacher, my job is to provide a safe, nurturing, interactive, and engaging classroom environment where students have the confidence within themselves to know they can make mistakes and be successful. My students will be lifelong learners and I strive to encourage students to become critical thinkers, problem solvers, and to always try their personal best. I desire to create positive, professional partnerships with parents and ensure my students have the best and most beneficial educational experience throughout each year in my classroom.
