    Hello! My name is Ashley Erickson and I so excited to be a part of your child's journey here at Shumway Leadership Academy. I am confident that we will have a fantastic year full of opportunity and growth!



    My Education and Professional Background

    I graduated from Northern Arizona University with my degree in Special and Elementary Education in 2020. I have taught 5th grade for the last two and a half years and this will be my first year teaching 4th and 6th grade resource.

    My Educational Philosophy

    My philosophy of education is to build a community of students that are active participants in their learning yet have the freedom to be themselves and shine both academically and personally. I am a strong believer that students excel when they are given the chance to express themselves in a way that makes sense to them. It is my objective students in my classroom understand that learning is something we do forever. It is their job as the student to participate, interact, and try their best.
