    Welcome!

    My name is Meghann Sarnicki and I am currently Frye's academic literacy coach.

    My Education and Professional Background

    I have my undergrad degree in Child Development and Elementary Education from Michigan State University (Go Green!) and my Master's in Instructional Leadership with a concentration in Language, Literacy, and Culture from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC).  I taught Pre-K through 2nd grade students for almost 10 years in the city of Chicago.

    I have been an instructional coach with a focus on literacy since 2016.  Before joining Frye in 2021 as a literacy coach I worked in Gilbert Public schools as a reading specialist and instructional coach.

    In 2022 I became certified as a LETRS trainer. 

    My Educational Philosophy

    It is my belief that all students can learn and are entitled to the best prepared teachers. I enjoy supporting teachers by providing training, modeling, and information to keep them informed of best practices in education. Like Maya Angelou said, "Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better."
