Position: Reading Coach
Hello! My name is Michelle Rabara. I grew up in North Dakota and moved to Chandler shortly after I graduated from the University of North Dakota with my teaching degree. When I am not working with students, I am spending time with my husband and two sons traveling, camping, playing golf, and watching movies.
My Education and Professional Background
I began teaching in 1990. I have taught 4th and 5th grades for a total of 24 years. In 2014 I joined Hartford Sylvia Encinas Elementary as a Reading Specialist. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from the University of North Dakota and a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from Northern Arizona University. In addition I have a Reading Endorsement and an English as a Second Language endorsement.
My Educational Philosophy
I believe all students can learn, and I am deeply committed to supporting, encouraging, and guiding students to become successful readers and life-long learners. As a teacher it is my responsibility to foster a sense of excitement and passion for learning within each student and encourage all students to achieve to their greatest potential.
