    Welcome!

    Hello! I am thrilled to be part of Hartford Sylvia Encinas Elementary School as their Reading Interventionist. I was born in Minnesota and my family moved to Fresno, California when I was a toddler. I lived in Fresno for most of my life. In 2019, I moved to Arizona due to my husband’s job. I enjoy hiking trails, walking on the beach, watching sun sets, and shopping till I drop.

    My Education and Professional Background

    I earned my Bachelor of Arts Degree from California State University, Fresno in Liberal Arts.Then I earned a Master of Arts degree from California State University, Fresno in Education with an emphasis in reading. I have enjoyed teaching students since 2005. I am currently pursuing National Board Certification in the area of Literacy.

    My Educational Philosophy

    I believe every child has the ability to learn. It’s my privilege to help foster the love of learning within my students. I encourage students to have a positive mindset and to strive for their personal best. I believe in all of my students and I truly care about them.
