About
Quintero...
I am so excited to be your child's first grade teacher! We will get to have such a fun year both in the classroom and outside. Your child will grow and learn so much this year you will be amazed! In order to help this growth I hope that we can work as a team, to help your child reach their highest potential. If you have any questions or concerns please contact me... Your concerns are my concerns, and I want to help in any way possible. I know we will have a great year!
My Education and Professional Background
Working with children is where my heart belongs, I have been working with kids for many years now and I wouldn’t change one thing about it! I started out working as a teacher in a preschool throughout college. After graduating from Arizona State University (go sun devils!) with my bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, I moved up to slightly older kids. I started teaching elementary school age kids in 2009 and through the years I have added kindergarten, third grade, and first grade to my list of adventures! I have found that first grade is where I belong! I love teaching first grade I could not be happier spending my days with these little kiddos!
My Educational Philosophy
I believe that every child is unique and has their own strengths. We build on these strengths to make each child successful. Working as a team with each family we can make every student reach their highest potential. I believe in building a warm, caring community in our classroom to help students feel like they can take chances and stretch their learning, but still feel comfortable and confident.
