    Welcome!

    Hi! My name is Mrs. Wood. I am ecstatic to be here at Haley again. Haley is a great family of staff, students, and parents, and I know I am lucky to be a Haley Tiger. Outside of school, my husband Kyle and I are fortunate enough to have the pleasure of raising our three children, Cole, Avory, and Landon. This year is going to be amazing!

    My Education and Professional Background

    I have been teaching since the year 2000! I graduated high school from Vivian Webb School of California. I got my Bachelors of Arts and Science in Elementary Education at Arizona State University (Go Devils!). I later received my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction at Northern Arizona University. I am Thinking Maps trained. I am our Grade Level Chair, and I enjoy working with our Second Step Committee to help students socially and emotionally.

    My Educational Philosophy

    At school, I aim to enjoy what I teach so students can enjoy what they learn. Teaching children that reading means more than just words on paper is a strong passion of mine. This year, I hope to create lifelong memories with my students while taking this journey through 5th grade together.
