    Welcome!

    Hello, Haley families! My role as a school counselor is to help support the personal, social, emotional, and academic growth of all students. I am at Haley full-time, and some of the services I provide include:

    -Universal social emotional lessons (SEL) in all K-6 classrooms. A few examples of lesson topics include kindness, empathy, conflict resolution, problem-solving skills, and self-care.
    -Small group counseling to teach social emotional skills and strategies. Group topics typically include identifying and managing emotions, self-regulation, worry/anxiety and coping skills, or social skills.
    -Short-term counseling and crisis intervention focused on mental health or situational concerns.
    -Sharing community resources and submitting referrals.

    If you have any questions or concerns throughout the school year, please reach out to me. I’m happy to help in any way I can. Additionally, I am the 504 coordinator at Haley and can answer any questions regarding 504 plans.

    My Education and Professional Background

    My school counseling career started in 2015, and I have been the school counselor at Haley since 2020. I earned my B.S. in psychology from the University of Wisconsin, Green Bay in 2011, and my Masters in Counseling from DePaul University in 2014. I am currently licensed as a School Counselor in Arizona and Wisconsin and have my Professional Counselor License (LPC) in Illinois. 

    My Educational Philosophy

    I work from a student-centered approach and believe that building relationships is the most important part of my job. I believe that a collaborative approach is best and that students benefit from strong home-school partnerships.
