Welcome!

Welcome! I am so happy that your child will be part of our classroom community! This year I make a commitment to your child's academic, social and emotional well being. I was born in the state of Washington but have lived most of my life in Arizona. I'm a desert girl! I live in Gilbert with my husband and two sons (3 yrs. and 7 yrs. old) I enjoy spending time with my family- swimming, hiking, watching movies, football and exploring new places. We love the beach and day trips up to Northern AZ!

My Education and Professional Background

I graduated for Grand Canyon University with my Bachelor's in Christian Studies and my Masters in Education. I started in education as a Special Education paraprofessional. I was hired in Chandler in 2005 at formerly Erie Elementary. I taught Kinder, 2nd grade and an English Language Development Class. I also taught 1st grade at Hartford Elementary. In 2013 I resigned to stay home with my son and spent several years subbing K-12th grade and also working in a Sped Classroom.

My Educational Philosophy

I believe every child deserves to be part of a safe and inviting classroom community. This is vital for setting the foundation for learning and growing. I have high expectations of myself as a teacher and of my students. I believe in my students and I am committed to supporting them in their success.
