    Welcome!

Welcome to 6th grade! My name is Mrs. Williams, and I am so excited to be your child's 6th-grade English teacher! I am committed to providing a nurturing and intellectually stimulating environment in the classroom. One of my primary goals is to instill a love for reading and writing in my students, and I am eagerly looking forward to working with them to achieve this. I am looking forward to making this year a truly enriching and memorable experience!

    My Education and Professional Background

I have almost nine years of teaching experience. I have taught grades 4 and 5 and English in grades 6 and 8. I graduated from Northern Arizona University with a bachelor's in education. I have my master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction; I am currently working on my Ph.D. dissertation in education administration.

    My Educational Philosophy

As an educator, my philosophy is centered on creating a welcoming and inclusive learning environment where students feel valued and motivated to express themselves through language and literature. I believe in fostering a love for reading and writing by connecting classroom content to real-life experiences and diverse perspectives. I aim to empower students to become critical thinkers, effective communicators, and lifelong learners. Through a combination of engaging activities, meaningful discussions, and constructive feedback, I aim to cultivate a supportive community where students can develop their language skills and explore their creativity. My educational philosophy is rooted in the belief that every student has the potential to achieve greatness, and it is my privilege to guide and inspire them on their educational journey.
