    Welcome to third grade! I am so excited to be teaching your amazing kiddos! I am looking forward to a fantastic year full of community, learning, and fun. I live in Queen Creek, AZ with my husband, Lou, who is also a teacher in Chandler. We have two amazing boys, Logan and Brock.

    My Education and Professional Background

    I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Education from Hope College in Holland, Michigan in 1999. I received my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from Northern Arizona University in 2004. I also have two endorsements from Northern Arizona University: an English Language Learner Endorsement as well as an Early Childhood Endorsement. I am a Spalding Certified Teacher as well as a Thinking Maps and Write from the Beginning Trainer. I am a lifelong learner dedicated to education!

    My Educational Philosophy


    Each child is an individual and an important part of our classroom team! I am here to encourage, prepare and listen to each child. I will provide an environment that supports risk-taking, helps each student reach their fullest potential and promotes respect and kindness towards others. Each day is a new beginning with great challenges and successes to embrace.
