About Kemberlyn Cotter...
Position: 6th Grade Classic ELA Teacher
Welcome to 6th grade! My name is Kemberlyn Cotter and I am so excited to be teaching at Auxier. I can’t wait to see the growth and experience the adventures of learning together with your children. My husband and I have 6 children. I love spending time with my family, being out in nature, watching my kids play sports and sunsets.
My Education and Professional Background
I graduated from Brigham Young University in 2002. I taught Reading K-6 for several years and then decided to take a break from teaching to stay home with my kids. During that time, I worked with a charter school district as an Instructional Support Staff member and continued to grow professionally. In 2022, I decided to go back to the classroom. I’m excited for the upcoming school year.
My Educational Philosophy
It is important for each child to feel like they belong in a safe, loving classroom environment. My goal is for each child to develop a love of learning that they can take with them throughout life. I encourage my students to be curious and creative learners. Every student is unique. My goal is to help each student utilize their strengths and learning styles to feel success as a student.
