    Welcome!

    Welcome to 5th grade! I have been teaching since 2001 and have loved every minute. I have taught 4th-8th grade and feel fortunate to be in a profession that I can help and teach young people. I'm pleased to be a part of Chandler School District and CTA Freedom, where I enjoy the students, families, and staff. I am truly blessed to be at a great school with wonderful programs and a community that is involved.

    My Education and Professional Background

    I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Education from Ottawa University in 2001. In 2003, I received my Masters of Education in Educational Leadership at NAU. I currently hold endorsements in Structured English Immersion for K-12 and Early Childhood. I am a Spalding I and II Certified Teacher. I have also been trained in Thinking Maps and Write from the Beginning.

    My Educational Philosophy

    I believe that each student is unique and possesses a variety of talent. Each student deserves the opportunity to be successful and celebrate their accomplishments. I believe opportunities for “teachable moments” arise throughout our day and we must use them to teach our students skills that will help them as they go through the journey of life.
