Welcome!

Take a look around and you will find helpful curriculum information, classroom information, and fun links for third grade students. I hope you enjoy your visit and I encourage you to stop by often.
My Education and Professional Background
I have taught 2nd grade, Special Education, 5th grade, and 3rd grade. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and Special Education. My Master's Degree is in Educational Leadership. I hold Endorsements in Reading, Early Childhood, and Sheltered English Immersion, Learning Disabilities, Emotional Disabilities, and Intellectual Disabilities.
My Educational Philosophy
I view education as a life-long event where students are constantly redefining themselves through the knowledge and insights they have gained, varied experiences they have encountered, and values they possess. Students will be treated with respect and have opportunities to learn the skills necessary to be productive members of their learning community. Together, we can create a classroom climate that is nurturing of the students' self-esteem and academic performance. Each day, I will be sharing real life experiences and positive interactions with my students. The relationship that we establish together will help to guide us through our learning goals using care, warmth, respect, and encouragement.
