About
Acklam...
Hello! My name is Julie Acklam and I live in Chandler with my two children who also attend CUSD. My son is here with me at Basha Elementary. Basha Elementary is a great school and I am happy that he is able to come to school with me!
My Education and Professional Background
I am proud to say that I graduated from Arizona State University with an Early Childhood Degree and a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. The endorsements that I have are SEI, Early Childhood, and Reading. I have been teaching since 2002. I have taught kindergarten, first, and second. My latest adventure lies teaching technology to grades K-6 and intervention groups to K-2 students.
My Educational Philosophy
I aim to bring an open mind, a positive attitude, and high expectations to each class I teach. I believe that I owe it to all my students, as well as the community, to bring consistency, diligence, and warmth to my job in the hope that I can ultimately inspire and encourage such traits in my students as well. I want the lab to be a place where my students feel safe, confident and proud of their learning through technology.
