    Dear Parents,
    I am so excited to be teaching your child! There are still so many fun things to do and learn in fifth grade, and I can't wait to get started! It is going to be an amazing year! You are invited to be a partner in your child's education! Our theme is RESPECT because I believe that if RESPECT is our guide, engaging learning will naturally follow. We are going to have a FANTASTIC, FUN, FABULOUS year in FIFTH grade!



    My Education and Professional Background

    I started teaching in 1983, and taught for several years in Mesa before taking a break to stay home with my young children. I have been at Basha since 2004. GO BOBCATS! I have a Masters Degree in Elementary Education, several educational endorsements and LOTS of teaching experience!

    My Educational Philosophy

    I believe that all children have a right to learn in their own best way, in a classroom that is welcoming and safe, where learning is fun and engaging:). I want all of my students to feel that they are an important and special part of our classroom community and our Basha family! Additionally, my goal is to create a supportive, equitable learning environment that will promote the social, emotional, and academic development of all of my students.
