    Welcome!

    Hello and welcome to Basha Elementary. My name is Sherri Beck and I am proud to be your school counselor. I look forward to a wonderful year working with our students, families, and Basha community.

    My Education and Professional Background

    Bachelor of Science, Elementary Education, Grand Canyon University. Masters of Education, Northern Arizona University. Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies, School Guidance Counseling, Ottawa University. My teaching career began in the Paradise Valley Unified School District where I taught fourth and sixth grades for five years. I moved to the Chandler Unified School District in 1999 and taught seventh grade language arts at Bogle Junior High for two years. I went to Jacobson Elementary in 2001 and taught fifth grade for two year before I became the school counselor in 2003. I was their school counselor for 16 years, before moving here to Basha Elementary in 2019.

    My Educational Philosophy

    I believe that every student is a unique individual with their own special qualities. I believe all students can learn regardless of individual differences. My mission is to teach our students to make positive choices, display good character, and learn to treat others the way they would like to be treated. I'm here to support all of our students to reach their fullest potential academically, socially, and emotionally.
