About
DeRosa...
Welcome to Kindergarten! My name is Pam DeRosa and I'm so excited to be a part of the Fulton Family! I am looking forward to working closely with you and your child to make this an amazing year!
My Education and Professional Background
I graduated from Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. I received my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Illinois. I have my Early Childhood Endorsement and Structured English Immersion Certification. I have taught second grade and kindergarten. Kindergarten is where my heart is!
My Educational Philosophy
I believe that each child is a unique individual who needs a secure, caring, stimulating atmosphere in which to grow and mature emotionally, intellectually, physically, and socially. It is my wish as a teacher to provide them with a safe, risk-taking, inviting classroom for them to blossom in these areas. All classrooms have a unique community of learners that varies not only in abilities, but also in learning styles. My role as a teacher is to provide the tools each and every student needs to show growth and for them to feel successful.
