Hi, my name is Susan Collier. I have been teaching at Sanborn since 2015 and I love being a part of the community. Over the course of my career, I have taught 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th grades. I am eager to teach first grade this year and look forward to working with my students. I have worked in CUSD since 2001 and began my teaching career in the Roosevelt District in 1996. I received my BA from ASU in 1996 and a Masters Degree from NAU in 2001. I enjoy spending time with family and friends.
My Education and Professional Background
I earned an Bachelor’s Degree from Arizona State University in 1996. I graduated from Northern Arizona University with a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education in 2004. I am certified to teach K-8 and have a Bilingual Endorsement. I started my teaching career in the Roosevelt District and have been teaching in the Chandler District since 2001.
My Educational Philosophy
My goal as an educator is to create a classroom where each student is successful. By creating a partnership between home and school, each student will succeed. I believe each student is unique and it is my goal to help each one learn in multiple ways as they become lifelong learners.
