About Holly Eske...
Position: 2nd Grade Teacher
Welcome to Mrs. Eske's 2nd Grade Classroom. I look forward to working with each and every child in order to reach their maximum potential and still have lots of fun!
My Education and Professional Background
I received my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from ASU and then went on to NAU for my graduate degree in Elementary Education. I began my teaching career in the Alhambra School District teaching Kindergarten, 1st, and 3rd grades from 1995 through 2013. I've been teaching in the Chandler district since 2013 and at Sanborn since 2018. I have been teaching 2nd grade since 2013 and I LOVE this grade level! I was honored with the Rodel Exemplary Teacher Award in 2010, which was a huge honor for me. I have also had a great deal of experience coaching, mentoring, and teaching after school tutoring, summer school, and working on many policy changing committees.
My Educational Philosophy
I believe in setting a tone of very high expectations and then doing whatever is necessary to help every single student achieve those goals to the best of their abilities. I am very nurturing and the biggest cheerleader I can be for all of my students. I expect a classroom culture of respect and learning in a fun, safe environment
The Choice is Yours! Why Choose Sanborn Elementary?
Sanborn is a warm, welcoming, structured environment that puts children first. We strive for positive relationships with each student and meet them where they are on day one. We work very hard to see growth in each student and celebrate big and small successes along the way. We want strong family/student/community relationships and welcome feedback that better helps us provide the very best learning environment for your child. Sanborn is an amazing place filled with amazing students, families, and staff!
