My Education and Professional Background
I would like to take a moment to introduce myself and explain my teaching background. I was born in Pennsylvania but have spent the majority of my life here in Arizona. I am a graduate of Dobson High School in Mesa and ASU in Tempe.I decided I wanted to become a teacher after volunteering some time in a classroom here at Basha. The experience proved to be eye opening and deeply rewarding. I quickly found that there was no other profession that I would rather work in. I have worked at Basha Elementary for fifteen years. I graduated from ASU in December of 2003 with the highest honors(4.0). I also graduated from University of Phoenix in December of 2009 with my master's degree in curriculum and instruction. I have taught third grade for two years, fourth grade for one year, and kindergarten for four years. I am extremely excited to begin my fifth year teaching second grade.
My Educational Philosophy
I believe that all children can and will learn when given the opportunity to do so. Each child is unique and has his or her own amazing talents and areas to work on. Through positive reinforcement, differentiated instruction, and challenging curriculum, each child will find success.
