    Hello my name is Shannon Nelson. I am excited to learn and grow with you this school year! This summer my husband and I celebrated our 23rd year anniversary and we enjoy our two beautiful daughters that we are very proud of everyday. We have a little rescue dog Murphy that we have had for 7 years. I love to exercise, cook, and travel.


    My Education and Professional Background

    I am an Arizona native and I graduated from ASU with my BA in Elementary Education. I have my SEI endorsement. I have been teaching since 2004.

    My Educational Philosophy


    I believe that creating a warm and safe environment opens the door for each student to thrive and be successful, not just academically, but emotionally and socially as well. One of my goals is to guide students to finding their purpose and igniting their passions to become life long learners. I find that providing my students with activities and instruction that are organized and interesting, students are motivated to try their best each day.
