    Welcome to Andersen Junior High English Language Arts.
    My name is Joshua Kornexl.
    A little bit about me: I am a veteran of the United States Army and originally from Minnesota, graduating from Mankato East High School in 1998; I have one beautiful six-year-old daughter, a 19-month-old son, and one flat faced Persian- cat named Chloe.

    My Education and Professional Background

    I have degrees from Mesa Community College in general education, Arizona State University, Magna cum Laude in English and Secondary Education, and a graduate degree with Distinction from West A&M in English. This will be my sixth-year teaching at Andersen Junior High, and my third-year with Chandler Online Academy, and I am happy to be a part of your students' academic adventure.  

    My Educational Philosophy

    I believe in the connection between discipline, studies and success. In order for a student to be successful beyond junior high and high school, they need to have a collaborative understanding of not just English Language Arts but of Science and mathematics as well. These disciplines work together to create a better understanding of the world and the students' relationship to it.
