Welcome!
Hello Andersen Junior High Families,
My name is Antasio Holley and I am very excited to introduce myself as the new principal of Andersen Junior High School. I am honored that I was selected to lead such an amazing school and school community. I have heard nothing but positive things about the students, teachers and parent community. In my first couple of days on the job I have met several teachers and office staff who have all been welcoming and enthusiastic about the upcoming school year and have already made me feel like I am part of the Jaguar Family.
Professionally, I have been in education for the past 24 years, as an Health and Physical Education teacher, Transition Specialist, Dean of Students, Athletic Director, Assistant Principal, and Principal. I feel these experiences have helped to shape my educational philosophy which I can simply put, “All students deserve the good stuff.”
One of the most important aspects of my work here at AJHS will be building strong relationships with students, teachers, and families. My passion has always been working with students while providing them a positive and nurturing environment that allows for them to become their best self. As a result, you can expect that I will work diligently with all stakeholders to make sure that our students continue to be exposed to curriculum and instruction that is both engaging and rigorous. I wholeheartedly believe that great schools are the result of great teachers of Andersen Junior High School and to provide them with the tools they need to continue to be successful and help your children grow and prosper.
I am thrilled about this school year and look forward to working with Assistant Principal, Alex Randel and Dean of Students, Mallorie Kelley to ensure that students at AJHS have a school year filled with quality instruction and fun. Please get involved in our school PTA to guarantee that your voices are heard and know that my door is always open.
Best Regards,

My Educational Philosophy
I believe that each child is a unique individual who needs a secure, nurturing, and stimulating environment in which to grow and mature emotionally, intellectually, physically, and socially. It is my desire as an educator to help students meet their optimal potential by removing barriers, providing an environment that is safe, supports risk-taking, and invites a sharing of ideas.
"The pessimist complains about the wind. The optimist expects it to change. The leader adjust the sails."
