|"Don't be gloomy. Do not dwell on unkind things. Stop seeking out the storms and enjoy more fully the sunlight. Look a little deeper for the good. Go forward in life with a twinkle in your eye, and a smile on your face, with a great and strong purpose in your heart."|

My Education and Professional Background
I began studying piano at age 8 and took private lessons for 10 years. In addition, I begin playing the cello at age 8 and continued through college and sang in the school choir for 2 years While at Brigham Young University, I played in the Symphony for 2 years and performed 15 concerts in Europe with 'America's Youth in Concert' as a cellist and also as a soprano in the choir. I also performed in Carnegie Hall in New York City with this large group. I have taught school orchestra, band, show choir, and drama. At home, I teach private music lessons on violin, viola, cello, guitar, piano, voice and harp.
My Educational Philosophy
Learning music instills self-discipline, respect, dedication, character, confidence and builds a vast knowledge of the fine arts. It creates a great opportunity to build social skills by making new friendships with fellow musicians and student musicians from other schools.
