Welcome to Frye Resource!
My Education and Professional Background
My name is Chisako Hazel. I have been teaching in the Chandler Unified School District since 2006. I taught in the CASE classroom at Basha, Andersen, and Knox Elementary before coming to Frye. I also have experience teaching at-risk preschool for two years and resource for one year at another district and over 20 years of experience teaching students from Japan on Saturdays. I received my Bachelor's Degree from Arizona State University in 1994 and my Master's Degree in Special Education also from Arizona State University in 2007.
My Educational Philosophy
I believe that each child is a unique individual who needs a secure, caring, and stimulating atmosphere in which to grow and mature emotionally, intellectually, physically, and socially. It is my desire as an educator to help students meet their fullest potential in these areas by providing an environment that is safe, supports risk-taking, and invites a sharing of ideas.
