• Andersen Running Club   

     

    • Start Date - Running Club Practice will begin on Thursday, November 9, 2023, from 2:40 pm – 3:30 pm. We will be meeting at the Ramada. Running Club is open to Kinder– 5th Grade elementary students and it will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays until the last meet / race. In order to compete in the races, the runners must qualify (1.5 miles in 25 minutes or less).
    • Races / Meets - There will be (3) inter-district races beginning in December. If it is raining practices will be cancelled.
    • Behavior - Students are to always model appropriate behavior when on Andersen Elementary School Campus or at the Running Club meets. Students who fail to follow this expectation will be removed and not be refunded their $15.00 fee for the club.
    • Parents/Guardians are responsible for arranging transportation. There will be no district provided transportation to and from the Running Club meets or practices.
    • Volunteers – Parent volunteers are needed for Running Club Practices (handing out sticks, encouraging students to run, and clean up after the races).  
    • Attendance – Students must check in and out of running club practice each time they attend. Any student who misses 3 practices risk being dropped from Running Club. Parents are not allowed to stay and watch/participate in practice unless, you are a volunteer assisting practice.

  • Race Dates:

    • Thursday, December 7th, 2023
    • Thursday, January 18th, 2023
    • Tuesday, January 30th, 2023

    Race starts at 3:45pm, please plan to be there by 3:30pm. 

    All Running Club Races will be held at Snedigar Park. Parents are responsible for transportation to and from the races.
