About
Duffy...
Welcome to second grade! I am happy to be your child's second grade teacher. I am an Arizona native, raised in Tempe. My husband and I are the proud parents of three fabulous children who attend school here at Liberty. We reside in Chandler.
My Education and Professional Background
I received a Bachelor's of Science in Sociology from ASU and a Master's of Elementary Education from NAU. I am trained in Spalding and also have a SEI endorsement. I taught first grade at CTA-Freedom from 2006-2010. After staying home with my children for the last seven years I am now back in the classroom. During that time at home I taught online for Rio Salado Community College.
My Educational Philosophy
I believe that education is the foundation to achieving greater things in life. My hope for your child will be for he or she to blossom as a reader, writer, problem-solver, decision -maker, caring person and confident learner. When children meet with success in school situations, their self esteem will soar. This is a trait that children will carry with them for the rest of their lives.
