    Welcome!

Welcome to sixth grade! I'm excited about the opportunity to get to know you, and I'm looking forward to a wonderful and productive school year. I love teaching here at CTA Liberty and have been part of the Liberty Eagle family since 2006. Besides teaching, I enjoy traveling in my RV, watching movies, and I am a college and pro sports fanatic! "Go Blue!" and "Cardinals, Suns, Mercury, and D-Backs!" Once again, welcome to sixth grade. Let's work together to make this the best year ever!

    My Education and Professional Background

My years in the classroom (both as a student and teacher) provide a strong foundation of knowledge and real world experiences. I hold a Master's in Elementary Education, which I received from Northern Arizona University. My teaching certification credential and mathematics endorsement were obtained by completing course work at Arizona State University. Prior to teaching, I earned my Bachelor of Science Degree in Recreation Administration from Fresno State University. As I continue to pursue teaching with passion and dedication, I'm continually looking for ways to educate myself and grow professionally as an educator in order to give the best possible education to my students.

    My Educational Philosophy

Education is a door of opportunity for each and every child to learn, grow, and strive to "individually" be the best they can be! The classroom is a secure, nurturing, and caring place where learning and growth occurs. It is an equitable atmosphere where each child is challenged, encouraged, and inspired emotionally, intellectually, and socially. Every year I acknowledge and respect the fact that my classroom is filled with unique individuals who vary in talents, abilities, and interests. Thus, as an educator, I strive to provide each child with the opportunities, experiences, and tools necessary to be successful at their current educational level, be prepared for the next educational level, and ultimately reach their fullest potential in all they strive to be and do. This motivates me on a daily basis to be dedicated to giving my personal best to each and every child, knowing that what they experience yearly in my classroom is just one step in the lifelong learning process.
