Fun & Meaningful Writing Activities 

1.  Write a letter to a senior. Use a lot of positive words and let them know you are thinking of them.  Decorate and color the letter with happy pictures of love and encouragement. Address an envelope and send it in the mail to either their home or a senior care facility.

2.  Write a letter to first responders such as hospital workers, doctors, nurses, firefighters, police officers,etc.  Tell them how important they are and how much their service means to you.

3.  Write a letter to grocery workers, food service people, store workers, etc. and tell them how much you appreciate their help so you and your family can have food. Illustrate with cute pictures of your favorite things to eat.  Drop the letter off to them next time you are at the store or getting take-out.

4.  Write to a family member, friend, classmate, relative, church leader, veteran, teacher, etc. and tell them what you have been doing over the past few weeks.  Draw pictures of your activities, or create an illustrated comic. Make sure you let them know how much you miss them and how much they mean to you. E-mail them the letter, mail it to them, or deliver to their doorstep.
