AVID is a year-long elective class for 7th and 8th grade students.  Students apply to be interviewed.  Once they pass the interview phase, students can be enrolled in the elective class and must also enroll in at least one course of rigor (honors-level core content area class).

AVID is internationally recognized college and career-readiness curriculum with a focus on WICOR- Writing, Inquiry, Collaboration, Organization, and Reading.  

AVID's mission:  To close the opportunity gap by preparing all students for college and career readiness and success in a global society.
