•  Welcome to Kindergarten

    Dear Kindergartners and Families,

Welcome to kindergarten at Fulton! My name is Christina Cruz and I will be your child’s teacher. I am so happy that you and your child will be joining our kindergarten family.  I hope that your summer has been enjoyable, filled with many fun adventures. I look forward to hearing all about your wonderful adventures in the coming weeks, sharing my adventures and creating our own learning adventures and discoveries too!

I am excited to get this year started. I have been teaching Kindergarten since 2002 and have worked in both the Higley and Chandler School Districts. I have a Master's degree in Elementary Education and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems. I have my Early Childhood Endorsement and Structured English Immersion Certification. I am married and have three wonderful children and three beautiful grand babies!!

I invite you to come meet me and see our classroom at this year’s Meet the Teacher Night on Monday, July 15th.  You can come anytime between 5:00pm – 5:45pm. Your new room number is A2. Our classroom is all set up with exciting new things for you to learn, do and see. Please bring $20 (cash only) to Meet the Teacher to purchase your RED Kindergarten shirt and take-home folder. Plan to wear your new Kindergarten shirt on the 1st Day of school!!

The link to the left has a list of school supplies that you will need for Kindergarten.  Since we will be sharing most of our supplies, I ask that you please do not put your name on anything you bring.  I encourage you to bring your supplies to Meet the Teacher Night so that your backpack is not too heavy for the 1st day of school.  Also, make sure to let me know how you get home from school each day on the transportation form.

My goal for your child this year is for him/her to truly begin to discover learning and the excitement and joy of knowledge and success. I want to show him/her that learning is fun, and give them the gift of a solid foundation for a successful educational career! I encourage you to become involved in our learning discoveries and adventures as well. Read to your child nightly and ask him/her what he/she has done in our classroom. I look forward to a wonderful year with you and your child!

    Mrs. Cruz
