Welcome!
Sanborn Suns community,
My name is Mr. Adam McCoy, your new principal. I am so honored to be welcomed into a school community that is rich in history. I am a proud resident of the city of Chandler and I'm excited to be home. I have been married for 15 years to my wife Margaret and we have two boys. My oldest son Noah is in 8th grade and attends Payne Jr. High and my youngest son Nicco is in 6th grade and attends Carlson elementary. Prior to coming to Sanborn, I've spent the last 6 years as an administrator of a Charter school in the east valley. Prior to that, I was a Special Education teacher and Program Director for students with severe behaviors. All my experiences as an educator have helped to solidify my educational philosophy that ALL students can and aspire to learn despite the challenges they may face. It is my professional duty to help meet the needs of every student. That is achieved by providing them a safe, engaging, rigorous, and supportive learning environment that allows them to take risks and feel comfortable knowing that we are here for them. When this type of school culture is present, learning happens daily and our students achieve an unbelievable amount of success.
Sanborn is a very special place rich in history and with the collective responsibility from all our stakeholders (district, staff, parents, and students), Sanborn will SHINE BRIGHT in the 2022 -2023 school year.My Education and Professional Background
Bachelor of Arts in Psychology - California Polytechnic University, Pomona, CA.
Masters in Educational Leadership - University of Phoenix, Phoenix, AZ.
My Educational Philosophy
My educational philosophy is that ALL students can and aspire to learn despite the challenges they may face.
