    Divider and spacer Young American Poetry Project WinnersVisit Sanborn Elementary WebsiteReport a Problem with Item A007273Sanborn Elementary - (2018-2019) Twelve Sanborn Elementary students (Joshua Holloman, Cameron Knotts, Cameron Sitarz, Gabi Hodgins, Landen Blakes, Natalie Hall, Talon Price, Adan Sanchez-Bernal, Nathaniel Vega, Addison Schattenberg, Cole Benson and Tyler Cornille) were selected as winners in the Young American Poetry Project. Poems were evaluated on creativity, sensory/figurative images, structure, and use of poetic techniques. Their poems will be published in the 25th edition of the Young American Poetry Digest.

They received high scores for problem identification, problem analysis, as well as reviewing and improving existing solutions! A large part of this competition are the CORE Values which focus students on working as a team, valuing every students' input, building upon one another's thinking and gracious professionalism.

They wrote words of encouragement to the students and staff following the devastating Camp Fire which heavily damaged Ponderosa Elementary and completely destroyed Paradise Elementary.
