    Welcome to Tarwater Pre-Kindergarten! Pre-Kindergarten is a fun and exciting year where students grow a tremendous amount both academically and socially.

    My Education and Professional Background

    I received my Bachelors in Elementary Education from Northern Arizona University in 2016. I also hold an endorsement in Early Childhood Education.

    I started my teaching career on the Gila River reservation teaching kindergarten. I taught kindergarten for three years and then looped with my students to first grade, staying in first grade for two years. I have also taught a year of 7th and 8th grade English. 

    This is my first year at Tarwater and teaching in the Chandler Unified School District.

    My Educational Philosophy

    I believe that everyone is always learning and all students are capable of growing. It is important for students to learn both academics and also how to be a part of a community. We will use our Toro Targets: Respect, Responsibility, Integrity, Courage, and Compassion this year to develop our academic skills as well as social skills.
